NEW SYSTEM MANAGER PASSWORD RECOVERY OPTION

The Cybernet Medical Team has recently updated the tools available to system managers that provide the ability to send the current password of any user of the Cybernet Medical EMR they are administering to the user's registered email account, without actually viewing the password themselves. This capability is provided for instances where a user forgets their password.

To access this option:

• Login to EMR
• Enter the users last name and login account type (If unsure of user login type, select "all types available")
• Press the "Search" button
• Find the user in the search results and click their name to go to their profile page
• Press the "Email Password" button at the top of the page
• The password will then be emailed to the assigned account

Password recovery can also be enabled within the Cybernet Medical EMR by having users set up a password recovery question and answer in their password section of the EMR. This will allow them to have the system send their password to the designated email account without other assistance, should they forget it.

To setup recovery questions and answers, follow these steps:

• Login to EMR
• Select "Password" from the personal links section (left menu)
• Type in the answer to the random (or self-created) question
• Save the changes

Once set up, after entering userid and pressing the login button with an incorrect password, users will be prompted to recover their password by answering the question!
