WEBSITE UPDATE: NEW DATA ADDITION PAGE

The Cybernet Medical team has recently redesigned the manual data entry page on the MedStar Electronic Medical Record. This page now mimics the manual data entry page that is provided to individual patients, and allows the addition of multiple data types under the same time stamp.

This allows caregivers and approved personnel the ability to easily enter all of a patient's daily readings at one time, as opposed to the previously required single entries -- saving you time and effort while maintaining patient records.

WEBSITE UPDATE: PATIENT LANGUAGE SELECTION

Also this month, the Cybernet Medical team has updated the Patient's Profile page to help properly designate a patient's primary spoken language. The page now includes a pull-down menu, complete with an extensive selection of languages, which you can use to accurately describe the language with which a patient is most comfortable and/or proficient.

By using this field, it becomes possible to assign nurses and/or providers who are best able to communicate effectively with specific patients during calls and home visits. This not only helps to ensure that your patients are comfortable with their care and care provider, but decreases language barrier issues.

WEBSITE UPDATE: PATIENT LOGIN GENERATION REQUIREMENTS

Finally, the MedStar EMR has undergone a slight modification of the requirements for generating patient logins. Specifically, it is now possible to set up a new patient within the website without entering patient login information -- these fields have been moved to the page bottom, and can now be left blank.

By not generating a patient login, the patient will not be able to log on the system themselves. This option is provided to support non-computer savvy users, who have no need (or ability) to log onto the website.

If you have any questions about this or any of this month's website updates, please contact Cybernet Medical Support at 1-800-CYBERNET, or via e-mail at support 'at' cybernetmedical.com.
