DAYLIGHT
SAVING TIME REMINDER
Beginning
in 2007, most of the United States begins Daylight
Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 11th
and reverts to Standard Time on Sunday, November
4th. Since this is the first year the United
States is using these guidelines, many
electronic devices will not be able to automatically compensate
for the hour difference, and will need to be adjusted manually.
While
this issue does not impact your MedStar units,
most peripherals that plug into them do have
internal clocks that
may need adjustment to avoid reporting incorrect reading times
to your patient data records. You, or your patients, should
refer to the owner's manual for the appropriate peripherals in
order to check time settings and/or make this correction.
PLEASE
NOTE! Peripherals with clocks should also be
checked on Sunday, April 1st and Sunday, October
28th of 2007 -- these are the dates that Daylight
Saving Time would have taken effect under the
previous schedule!
As
always, if you have problems or questions about
this, please contact Cybernet Medical Support
at 1-800-CYBERNET, or via e-mail
at support 'at' cybernetmedical.com.
WEBSITE
UPDATE: DATA TYPES SET FOR INCOMING DATA
As
part of our continuing effort to help correct
potential
issues within the MedStar System automatically whenever
possible, the Cybernet Medical team has recently updated the
default data display functions of the website. Now, if a data
type hasn't been designated for display via the Procedure Data
Types tab, it will automatically be reactivated -- this will
allow you to easily view all incoming data, even if a patient's
monitoring has been changed to include new/different data types.
WEBSITE
UPDATE: WARRANTY EXPIRATION INFORMATION DISPLAY
Another
recent addition by the Cybernet Medical team
has made warranty expiration information easily
available from the
HISTORY page of the MedStar device in question. Upon viewing
the device's history, a new field has been added that shows
the year and month that the device's warranty through Cybernet
Medical will expire.
If
you have any questions about this
or any of this month's website updates,
please contact Cybernet Medical Support at 1-800-CYBERNET,
or via e-mail at support 'at' cybernetmedical.com.
