NEW FDA CLEARANCES FOR MEDSTAR™

On September 8th, Cybernet Medical announced it has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for expanding the capabilities of the MedStar Disease Management Data Collection System. The hand-held MedStar unit now supports Blood Coagulation (in International Normalized Ratio, or INR) and Temperature Monitoring, allowing healthcare providers to conduct remote, detailed and regular checks on patients with a even wider variety of disease states at home, including asthma, hypertension, congestive heart failure (CHF) and diabetes.

CYBERNET MEDICAL HELPS DISASTER VICTIMS WITH MEDSTAR™

Cybernet Medical has released an early version of its new portable medical kiosk product -- the MedStar Orion -- to support health assessment and monitoring of persons displaced from routine medical care by disasters and other crisis situations. MedStar Kiosks are currently deployed in the Houston Astrodome, George R. Brown Center, and the Reliant Center helping victims of Hurricane Katrina stay healthy.

The MedStar Orion Health Kiosk consists of three parts:

1. The patient health record entry terminal
2. The Health Kiosk, where vital signs are collected
3. A secure, web-based electronic patient medical record (EMR) that performs automatic triage and can alert proper medical care providers of developing patient complications

CYBERNET MEDICAL TO ATTEND NAHC 2005

Cybernet Medical will be appearing at the 24th Annual Meeting of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) in Seattle, Washington from October 23rd-26th. The Cybernet Medical team will be showcasing the MedStar system and its many monitoring features, including Blood Pressure, weight, pulse ox, spirometery, glucose, temperature, INR monitoring, web-based electronic medical record, and the Interactive Voice Response question and answer system.
